Pairs

Year 4, 5, and 6 Resource

Here are the free games :

There are four different pairs games based on prefixes, suffixes, opposites or homophones. Within each game you can select between 8 and 24 cards.

The cards are randomised and players have to find matching pairs by remembering the location of cards. For the prefix and suffix games the root word is coloured differently.

The computer automatically removes matching cards and keeps track of the words that have been matched, as well as the score and the number of tries.

A hint option is available that displays the word hidden on each card. This can be turned on and off as required.
